Summer of Carlos began the first summer of Carlos and Steven’s relationship in 2017. During that season, we challenged each other to broaden our perspectives and try new things.

We were fundamentally transformed, and we want to share that experience with you. Now, we choose spontaneity, from our travel plans to our outfit choices and home decor.

Affectionately, we call these wonderfully impulsive blips throughout our days #summerofcarlos.

Our Creative Director, if you will, Carlos is the embodiment of the SOC lifestyle - the one standing out front with a half-smirk, wondering how far he can push the envelope.

Raised in El Paso, TX, and a graduate of Texas Tech, Carlos has never been bound by geography. After joining Teach for America in 2010, he taught Third Grade in Hawaii.

Since then, Carlos has lived in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Nashville. Hints of these locales have influenced Carlos’ fashion, flair, and taste.

Perhaps the less flashy of the two, Steven makes up for it as Chief Instigator and Cheerleader - ever willing to support the SOC lifecycle and have fun along the way.

Raised in Wakefield, Massachusetts, and a graduate of Bentley University, Steven has lived in Rhode Island, Washington DC, and is currently with Carlos in Nashville.

Together, we continue to challenge ourselves and make the most of every moment, no matter how small … whether a Friday night at a rooftop bar in Nashville or a last-minute parasail in some tropical destination.

Our wish is that you, too, can experience a “Summer of Carlos” adventure.
